Workshop: Becoming an (Outdoors) Artist in Residence LIMITED

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Time away from distractions is one of the best opportunities a writer (or other artist) can be given, especially when that time is spent in an inspiring location (a place of natural beauty or with access to a variety of outdoor activities) and with some built-in subjects for that artist's work. An artist residency, especially in or near a national park, national forest, or national wildlife refuge, is just such opportunity. This workshop will lead participants through the process of finding an appropriate AIR  (artist-in-residence) program--especially one focused on nature or the outdoors such as a national parks residency or a private residency in or near public lands--and submitting a strong application.
